Silent Valley National Park, Palakkad
Silent Valley National Park, stands as an eloquent testimony to the conservation consciousness of the people of this country. The tropical evergreen forest is the abode of rich biodiversity. From Mukkali the tourist has to walk 24 km to the interior of the park by trekking. Vehicular traffic is allowed only up to Mukkali. The National park has to be perambulated by foot. Bird watching, trekking, wildlife photography are permitted.
