The journey to Kannamaly is a feast to the eyes, especially from Thoppumpadi to Kannamaly, which is only 300 fts away from the Arabian Sea. The wide and beautiful Puthenthode beach will attract tourists.

The church is faced towards the beautiful Vembanattu lake. the facility for boating is also available to Anjilithara, which is emerging as a main tourism centre is situated in the south-east border of the church.

Fort Cochin, the old colonial town is only 14 KM from Kannamaly through the sea shore road. Fort Cochin and Mattancherry are the focus of interest to the visitors from various parts of the world, where the city's extraordinary history of foreign influence and settlement is reflected in an assortment of architectural styles.

Tourists can spot spice markets, Chinese fishing nets, a synagogue, a Portuguese palace, India's first European church, Dutch homes, and a village green that could have been transported from England's Home Counties. The city is also one of the few places in Kerala where, at any time of year, you can be assured of seeing Kathkali dance,either in one of several special tourist theatres,or at a more authentic performance by a temple based company.
